Green knows
Green knows
Green sleeps in a garden
how to fill in the trees
and change the leaves
to Orange and Brown.
It knows how to color
the ocean waves,
to shade the fish
below.
when you want something
that someone else has.
It knows to live and reside
in grassy meadows
and in tall flower stems.
This is what Green knows.
and dreams about Blue,
because as everyone knows:
It's not easy being Green!
